In the heart of Mendoza, five main squares were designed over 160 years ago as safe havens for citizens in the event of an earthquake. These historic spaces offer a peaceful retreat, perfect for enjoying their beauty and charm.

The main and oldest park in the City of Mendoza. In 1896, French landscaper Carlos Thays was entrusted with designing a project that fused English Romanticism and French Classicism. The park spans more than 329 hectares and contains over 300 species from around the world.

It is the second largest park in the City of Mendoza. Within it, there are many impressive government buildings, including the Ángel Bustelo auditorium, the Monument to the Flag of the Army of the Andes, and a variety of ancient vegetation. It’s an ideal place for a walk and to get some fresh air in the city.

From Plaza Independencia to San Martín Avenue, there is a pedestrian street that is an icon of Mendoza, beloved by both tourists and locals. Here, you can find numerous shops and well-known cafés. It’s an ideal place for a stroll, enjoying a drink, and appreciating the architecture.

This circuit starts and ends at San Martín Park. Along the way, several points of interest stand out, including Cerro Arco, the Challao viewpoint, the Nuestra Señora de Lourdes Church, and the restaurants, shops, and buildings on Champagnat Avenue.
