Cacheuta, just 28 km from the city of Mendoza, is a historic mountain town that amazes visitors with its charm. In the area known as “Blanco Encalada,” you’ll find the historic train station of the same name and a small museum that highlights Mendoza’s railway history. Upon reaching the town, you’ll arrive at the “Cacheuta” station, another relic of this storied past.

As the route turns deeper into the mountains, you’ll come across the ruins of the Fader Hydroelectric Plant, Mendoza’s first such project.
