Casa de San Martín

Located very close to Mendoza’s Foundational Area, the Casa de San Martín is a historical site museum that invites visitors to discover one of the most significant places linked to the Liberator's time in the city. According to historical documents and archaeological studies, General José de San Martín lived in this house between 1814 and 1817 with his wife, Remedios de Escalada. Their daughter, Mercedes, was born here in 1816, and it was from this residence that the great emancipation campaign of the Army of the Andes was launched.
